STUDENTS:

Welcome to 6th grade ELA!! I know some of you might not have the best attitude towards reading, but I hope you feel differently after this class! In elementary school you were learning to read now you will be reading to learn. In order to be successful in this course you are required to try your best, complete all of your assignments, ask questions, and always ask for help.

PARENTS:
Parents, please use this website as a resource to stay connected to my class. This is a huge transitional period for your child  and they're going to need you the most. I am a strong believer that it takes a village to raise a child, so anything you need me to do to support your child please let me know. I will be uploading videos and information about the current lesson weekly. Please have conversations with your child about what they are learning; you showing interest in their learning will mean the world to them.

VERY IMPORTANT:

Check Power School frequently! Please do not wait until the end of the quarter to ask the teacher why your child isn't passing his or her class. Failing to turn in work is the #1 reason why middle school students fail. Teachers will send out progress reports approximately every 2-3 weeks.
